Biography:
Dr. Le Quoc Hoi is Professor and senior lecturer at the National Economics University, Vietnam. He has been Editor in Chief of the Journal of Economics and Development since 2014. He obtained Ph.D in Economics at the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2006. He was also awarded Endeavor Research Fellowship for Post Doctoral position at the University of Adelaide in 2008 and Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Post Doctoral position at Johns Hopkins University, the USA in 2010. He is the Chair of the Scientific Committee in Economics of the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) (affiliated with Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology). His research of interest includes foreign direct investment, economic growth, income inequality, poverty and finance. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, focused on issues in the areas of macroeconomics, finance and sustainable development. His work has been published in journals such as International Review of Economics and Finance; Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy; Eurasian Economic Review; Afro-Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting; Journal of South East Asian Economies; Journal of Economics, Finance and Administrative Science; Economies; International Journal of Emerging Markets; Journal of Risk and Financial Management; Ageing International; Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems; Management of Environmental Quality; Environmental Science and Pollution Research. He is also the author of many books in the field of macroeconomics and development economics. Professor Le is also active in economic consulting, particularly in macroeconomic policy and foreign direct investment policy for government and organizations.
